Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute comprehensive sourcing strategies to secure high-quality goods and services at optimal prices, aligning with the company’s financial and operational goals.
- Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, conducting regular performance reviews and negotiating contracts to ensure continuous improvement.
- Cost Reduction: Analyze market trends and internal spending data to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement initiatives that drive bottom-line profitability.
- Inventory Optimization: Collaborate with the logistics and operations teams to forecast demand accurately and manage inventory levels, minimizing waste and stockouts.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead high-level negotiations with vendors, ensuring all contracts comply with legal standards and company policies while protecting the organization's interests.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and develop a team of purchasing specialists, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Ariba) and advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
- Negotiation: Demonstrated ability to negotiate complex contracts and agreements with diverse stakeholders.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly to senior leadership.
