Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive global procurement strategies to ensure cost-optimization and supply chain resilience.
- Manage end-to-end contract negotiations with key tier-one suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing.
- Analyze market trends and economic data to forecast demand and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Collaborate with engineering and production departments to ensure technical alignment on raw material specifications.
- Lead and mentor the purchasing team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous process improvement.
- Monitor vendor performance metrics and execute corrective action plans when quality or delivery standards are not met.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in purchasing or strategic sourcing within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record of managing multi-million dollar annual spend portfolios.
- Expertise in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced analytical tools.
- Strong negotiation skills with a deep understanding of international logistics and procurement law.
- Professional certification such as CPSM or CSCP is highly desirable.
