Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans to optimize costs and quality across 200+ suppliers
- Lead contract negotiations with Fortune 500 vendors, securing favorable terms and SLAs
- Oversee procurement budget of $50M+ with rigorous cost-saving initiatives
- Implement digital procurement tools including SAP Ariba and Coupa for process automation
- Manage cross-functional stakeholder relationships across operations, finance, and engineering
- Conduct supplier risk assessments and develop contingency plans
- Mentor a team of 5 purchasing specialists through performance coaching
- Analyze market trends to identify innovation opportunities and cost-reduction levers
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 8+ years of progressive purchasing experience with 3+ years in leadership
- Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) designation required
- Proven track record of $1M+ annual cost savings through strategic sourcing
- Expertise in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and e-procurement platforms
- Strong analytical skills with data-driven decision-making experience
- Exceptional negotiation skills with documented vendor relationship successes
- Ability to manage cross-functional teams in matrixed organizations
