Apex Global Supply Chain Solutions is seeking a results-driven Senior Purchasing Manager to optimize our supply chain efficiency and drive cost-reduction strategies in our Chicago headquarters.
You will play a pivotal role in managing vendor relationships, negotiating complex contracts, and ensuring the seamless acquisition of high-quality materials to support our aggressive growth targets.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive global sourcing strategies to reduce costs while maintaining quality standards.
- Negotiate high-value master service agreements and contracts with international suppliers.
- Analyze market trends and supply chain risks to proactively mitigate potential disruptions.
- Manage end-to-end procurement cycles, including requisition, PO issuance, and vendor performance evaluation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional leadership teams to align procurement activities with production goals.
- Mentor and guide the junior purchasing team to foster a culture of operational excellence and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in strategic purchasing or procurement management.
- Proven track record of achieving double-digit cost savings through effective vendor negotiations.
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (SAP or Oracle) and data analytics tools (Tableau/Power BI).
- Strong understanding of global trade regulations, logistics, and inventory management.
- CPSM or APICS certification preferred.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at the executive level.
