Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive global sourcing strategies to reduce costs while maintaining quality standards.
- Lead high-stakes negotiations with key suppliers to secure favorable pricing, lead times, and payment terms.
- Analyze market trends and economic factors to forecast supply chain risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Manage the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, ensuring strict adherence to compliance and ethical sourcing standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments, including engineering and production, to align procurement with manufacturing needs.
- Evaluate and optimize supplier performance through rigorous KPI tracking and periodic audits.
- Mentor junior purchasing associates and foster a culture of professional growth and data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in strategic purchasing or procurement within the manufacturing industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in contract negotiation, vendor management, and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite).
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets for strategic planning.
- Proven track record of achieving significant cost savings and operational efficiency improvements.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at the executive level.
- Professional certification (CPSM or CSCP) is highly preferred.
