Responsibilities
- Design enterprise-level IT architecture supporting critical public services (e.g., healthcare portals, emergency management systems)
- Develop cloud migration strategies compliant with Government of Canada security protocols
- Lead cross-departmental technology modernization initiatives
- Create architectural documentation and governance frameworks
- Ensure solutions meet accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA)
- Collaborate with federal/provincial agencies on shared infrastructure projects
- Maintain vendor relationships for emerging technology solutions
Qualifications
- 10+ years in enterprise architecture with 5+ years in public/government sector
- Certified AWS/GCP/Azure Solutions Architect or equivalent
- Experience with TOGAF framework and government security protocols (e.g., ITSG-33)
- Expertise in microservices architecture and containerization (Kubernetes)
- Strong knowledge of Canadian privacy legislation (PIPEDA, PIPEDA)
- Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proven ability to lead complex digital transformation projects
- Security clearance eligibility (Reliability Status)
