Responsibilities
- Develop and analyze evidence-based health policy recommendations for congressional review
- Lead interagency task forces on emerging public health challenges (e.g., pandemic response, health equity)
- Prepare legislative briefings and testimony for congressional committees
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research on healthcare access, quality metrics, and program outcomes
- Manage stakeholder engagement with healthcare providers, advocacy groups, and state/local governments
- Oversee implementation of Affordable Care Act provisions and Medicare/Medicaid policy
- Monitor international health policy trends and coordinate with global health organizations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, Healthcare Administration, or related field (PhD/JD preferred)
- 8+ years of progressive policy experience in government or non-profit sector
- Expertise in U.S. healthcare systems, federal budget processes, and regulatory frameworks
- Proficient in health data analysis tools (e.g., SAS, SPSS, R) and policy modeling software
- Demonstrated success in drafting legislative proposals and regulatory impact analyses
- Active security clearance (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholder groups
