Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantitative policy analysis frameworks using advanced econometric modeling
- Lead cross-departmental stakeholder consultations to align policy objectives
- Produce Cabinet-ready policy briefs with actionable recommendations
- Manage $2M+ research budgets with strict public finance protocols
- Mentor junior analysts through our Knowledge Transfer Initiative
- Represent the ministry at national and international policy forums
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Economics, Public Policy, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years experience in federal/provincial policy development
- Proficiency in R, Python, or Stata for policy modeling
- Valid Secret Security clearance
- Proven track record of delivering Cabinet submissions
- Experience with Treasury Board Directive 2.4 (Policy Development)
- Canadian citizenship required
