Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic policy frameworks aligned with national economic priorities
- Conduct comprehensive research and impact assessments for proposed legislation
- Stakeholder engagement with government agencies, industry partners, and community groups
- Lead interdepartmental task forces to address cross-cutting policy challenges
- Prepare briefing notes and cabinet submissions for senior decision-makers
- Monitor policy implementation effectiveness through data-driven evaluation
- Represent the ministry in high-level policy forums and public consultations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience in government policy development
- Expertise in quantitative and qualitative policy analysis methodologies
- Proven track record of leading successful policy initiatives
- Deep understanding of Canadian federal/provincial government structures
- Exceptional written communication with demonstrated briefing note experience
- Proficiency in policy analysis tools and statistical software (R, Python, SPSS)
- Valid security clearance at the Reliability level
