Join the Metropolitan Infrastructure Authority's transformative team to lead critical public infrastructure projects that shape our city's future. As a Senior Public Infrastructure Project Manager, you'll oversee multi-million dollar initiatives spanning transportation, utilities, and public facilities. This pivotal role requires strategic vision and hands-on execution to deliver projects that enhance community resilience while adhering to strict federal compliance standards. You'll collaborate with cross-agency stakeholders, manage complex budgets, and ensure sustainable outcomes for generations to come.
Responsibilities
- Direct end-to-end delivery of public infrastructure projects from planning to commissioning
- Manage $50M+ project budgets with rigorous financial oversight and risk mitigation
- Coordinate with federal, state, and municipal agencies for regulatory compliance
- Lead cross-functional teams of engineers, contractors, and community liaisons
- Develop and maintain project roadmaps using PMBOK methodologies
- Conduct stakeholder engagement sessions to align project objectives with community needs
- Implement sustainability best practices and ADA compliance requirements
- Generate comprehensive progress reports for executive leadership and oversight boards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Public Administration, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 8 years of experience in public sector project management
- PMP certification and/or federal project management certification (FPM) required
- Proven track record delivering infrastructure projects with $25M+ budgets
- Deep knowledge of federal procurement regulations (FAR) and Davis-Bacon Act
- Expertise in Primavera P6 and MS Project for complex scheduling
- Exceptional communication skills for stakeholder management and public speaking
- Experience with environmental impact assessments and NEPA compliance
