Role Overview:
As a Senior Project Manager, you will act as the bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders. You will drive the execution of our product roadmap, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget. You will champion Agile methodologies and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the full project lifecycle (Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring, and Closure) for high-impact software development projects.
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in line with Apex's strategic vision.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, implementing contingency plans where necessary.
- Manage cross-functional teams, including developers, QA, designers, and business analysts, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
- Report on project progress, KPIs, and metrics to senior leadership and stakeholders on a regular basis.
- Mentor junior project managers and contribute to the development of project management best practices within the organization.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in the software development or IT sector, with a strong preference for Agile/Scrum environments.
- Professional certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or MSP is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Asana).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical jargon for non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate diverse teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience managing budgets and resources effectively.
