Responsibilities
- Lead the design and technical development of complex architectural projects from schematic design through construction administration.
- Manage project teams, including junior architects and design staff, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Serve as the primary client contact, fostering strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction through clear communication and proactive problem-solving.
- Oversee the preparation of detailed construction documents, specifications, and reports, ensuring compliance with relevant building codes and regulations.
- Conduct site visits and collaborate with contractors, consultants, and regulatory agencies to ensure design integrity and smooth project execution.
- Mentor and guide junior team members, contributing to their professional growth and development within the firm.
- Actively participate in business development activities, including proposal preparation and client presentations.
- Champion sustainable design principles and integrate cutting-edge technologies into project solutions.
Qualifications
- Professional Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in an architectural firm, with at least 3 years in a project leadership role.
- RA licensure in New York State (or reciprocal eligibility) is required.
- Proven expertise with relevant software, including AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, V-Ray, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating experience with diverse project types, particularly high-rise residential, commercial, or institutional.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively articulate design concepts to clients and stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction practices in New York City.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
