Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural design and technical execution of complex, large-scale commercial, residential, and mixed-use projects.
- Manage and mentor a talented team of junior architects, designers, and drafters to foster professional growth and design excellence.
- Coordinate extensively with structural, MEP, and civil engineering consultants to ensure seamless building system integration.
- Oversee the production of comprehensive construction documents, details, and specifications utilizing advanced Revit workflows.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, developers, and municipal authorities, steering projects through zoning and building code approvals.
- Conduct site observations and constructability reviews, resolving complex technical issues during the construction administration phase.
Qualifications
- Professional Degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch) from an accredited institution.
- Active Registered Architect (RA) license in the state of Illinois, or eligibility for reciprocal licensure.
- 8 to 12 years of progressive professional experience in a design firm, with a proven portfolio of commercial or mixed-use developments.
- Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit, BIM 360, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Expert knowledge of Chicago building codes, IBC, ADA guidelines, and sustainable design standards (LEED AP credential highly preferred).
- Strong leadership capability with exceptional communication, client management, and presentation skills.
