Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all phases of architectural projects from initial concept through construction completion, ensuring adherence to schedule, budget, and design intent.
- Develop and refine architectural designs, collaborating closely with clients, consultants, and internal design teams.
- Prepare comprehensive construction documents, specifications, and detailing, ensuring compliance with local building codes and industry standards.
- Oversee and mentor junior architects and project team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, managing expectations, presenting designs, and facilitating effective communication.
- Conduct site visits and inspections during construction, addressing RFI's, submittals, and ensuring design execution aligns with contract documents.
- Perform quality control reviews of all project deliverables, maintaining Axiom Design Group's high standards of excellence.
- Actively participate in business development initiatives, proposals, and firm-wide strategic planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 8-12 years of progressive professional experience in an architectural firm, with a strong portfolio of diverse project types.
- Licensed Architect (RA) in New York State (or reciprocal licensure eligibility) is required.
- Proficiency in Revit is essential; strong command of AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience leading project teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- In-depth knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction techniques relevant to NYC.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with clients and stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for design detail and technical precision.
- LEED AP accreditation or experience with sustainable design practices is a plus.
