Responsibilities
- Oversee daily production operations for 3 manufacturing lines, ensuring targets are met with 99% quality compliance
- Implement and optimize lean manufacturing principles (5S, Kaizen, Kanban) to reduce waste by 15% annually
- Lead 15+ production technicians through performance management, training, and conflict resolution
- Collaborate with engineering teams on process improvements and new product introductions
- Ensure strict adherence to OSHA standards and environmental regulations
- Manage inventory control systems to maintain optimal material flow and reduce holding costs
- Generate production reports and KPI dashboards for executive leadership review
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related field
- Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in automotive manufacturing production
- Certified Lean Manufacturing Professional (CLMP) or Six Sigma Green Belt
- Proven track record of leading teams in unionized environments
- Advanced proficiency in ERP/MES systems (SAP, Oracle) and production scheduling software
- Strong analytical skills with experience in root cause analysis and corrective actions
- OSHA 30-hour certification and hazardous materials handling training
