Apex Precision Manufacturing is seeking a dynamic Senior Production Supervisor to join our state-of-the-art facility in Detroit. In this role, you will lead high-performing teams, optimize production workflows, and ensure we continue to deliver world-class quality products to our global partners.
You will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and innovation, utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodologies to exceed our production targets.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day production floor operations to meet daily output and quality KPIs.
- Manage, mentor, and evaluate a team of 40+ production associates across multiple shifts.
- Implement and champion Lean Manufacturing initiatives to eliminate waste and improve cycle times.
- Maintain strict adherence to OSHA safety standards and foster a 'safety-first' workplace culture.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Supply Chain teams to resolve production bottlenecks and material shortages.
- Monitor equipment performance and coordinate preventative maintenance schedules with the facilities team.
- Prepare comprehensive daily production reports for senior management analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing leadership role.
- Proven track record in Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, or 5S methodologies.
- Expertise in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics).
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to function under tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively manage diverse teams.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts when business demands require.
