Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a cross-functional production team of 30+ technicians across shifts.
- Optimize production schedules to ensure 98%+ on-time delivery rates.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to reduce waste and operational costs.
- Maintain a zero-accident workplace culture by enforcing strict OSHA compliance.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate new automation technologies.
- Manage inventory levels and coordinate raw material procurement cycles.
- Develop and track KPIs to report operational performance to plant management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing or assembly environment.
- Proven track record of managing large teams in a unionized or non-unionized setting.
- Strong technical proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and MS Office Suite.
- Deep understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and 5S methodologies.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to bottleneck resolution.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
