Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Oversee daily production operations, ensuring all processes run smoothly, efficiently, and within established quality standards.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to OSHA safety regulations and company policies, conducting daily safety audits and incident investigations.
- Team Management: Direct, mentor, and train a team of machine operators and floor staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in the production line and implement Lean/Six Sigma initiatives to optimize workflow and reduce downtime.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor output quality in real-time, collaborate with the Quality Control department to resolve defects, and maintain ISO certifications.
- Inventory Control: Manage raw materials and finished goods inventory levels, coordinating with logistics to ensure timely shipping.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or certification in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Strong working knowledge of CNC machinery, production planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and CMMS systems.
- Leadership: Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and driving performance metrics.
- Problem Solving: Excellent analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and process issues efficiently.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to document procedures clearly.
