Responsibilities
- Oversee daily production operations across 3 assembly lines, ensuring optimal efficiency and adherence to safety protocols
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve productivity by 15% annually
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Six Sigma methodologies and Kaizen events
- Manage inventory control systems, optimizing raw material usage and reducing carrying costs
- Collaborate with R&D to integrate new technologies into production workflows
- Develop and mentor production supervisors, fostering leadership skills and technical expertise
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and OSHA regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related field
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in production management
- Proven track record implementing lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in ERP/MES systems (SAP/JDE experience preferred)
- Certification in Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in unionized environments
- Expertise in cost reduction strategies and production planning
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present to executive leadership
