Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of 50+ person production team across 3 manufacturing lines
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to optimize efficiency and reduce waste by 15% annually
- Develop and execute strategic production plans aligned with quarterly sales targets
- Manage $2M+ annual budget for equipment, materials, and workforce resources
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Six Sigma methodologies
- Ensure strict compliance with OSHA and ISO 9001:2015 standards
- Collaborate with R&D team to prototype new manufacturing processes
- Mentor shift supervisors and develop talent pipeline for leadership roles
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field
- Minimum 8 years in manufacturing leadership with 3+ years in production management
- Proven track record implementing lean manufacturing and Six Sigma projects
- Strong expertise in ERP/MES systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- OSHA 30-hour certification and ISO 9001 internal auditor experience
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis and production KPI reporting
- Excellent cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience managing unionized workforce preferred
