Responsibilities
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Six Sigma methodologies to enhance production efficiency and reduce waste
- Design and implement automated production systems integrating IoT and Industry 4.0 technologies
- Develop and maintain comprehensive production documentation, SOPs, and quality control protocols
- Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and implement data-driven solutions
- Manage capital equipment projects from conception through installation and validation
- Mentor junior engineers and production staff on technical best practices
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, ISO 9001, and environmental regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in production engineering or manufacturing leadership
- Proven expertise in lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma certification (Black Belt preferred)
- Strong proficiency with CAD/CAM software and manufacturing simulation tools
- Experience with PLC programming and industrial automation systems
- Demonstrated success in managing capital equipment projects over $500K
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to interpret production metrics and KPIs
- Strong leadership abilities with experience mentoring technical teams
