Responsibilities
- Process Optimization: Analyze current production workflows and implement lean manufacturing principles to maximize efficiency, reduce waste, and improve throughput.
- Equipment Management: Oversee the maintenance and calibration of complex machinery, including CNC machines, robotic arms, and automated assembly lines.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and lead a cross-functional team of production staff, engineers, and technicians, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict safety protocols and OSHA regulations to ensure a zero-incident workplace for all employees.
- Project Management: Lead capital equipment projects, including budgeting, procurement, installation, and commissioning of new manufacturing systems.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the quality control department to develop and maintain rigorous testing procedures and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Data Analysis: Monitor production KPIs and utilize data analytics to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing production engineering, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and manufacturing execution systems (MES).
- Methodologies: Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt preferred), and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues under tight deadlines.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical data to non-technical stakeholders.
- Tools: Familiarity with PLC programming and basic automation systems is a plus.
