Responsibilities
- Process Optimization: Analyze current production workflows and implement Lean Manufacturing principles to reduce cycle times and improve product quality.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of production staff, conducting regular performance reviews and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Equipment Maintenance: Collaborate with the maintenance department to troubleshoot equipment issues, schedule preventive maintenance, and oversee capital projects.
- Quality Assurance: Develop and enforce quality control standards to ensure all products meet ISO 9001 specifications and client requirements.
- Cost Management: Monitor production costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to OSHA safety regulations and company safety protocols to maintain a zero-incident workplace.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production engineering role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and experience with PLCs and automation systems is highly preferred.
- Methodologies: Strong knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Leadership: Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and managing project lifecycles from conception to delivery.
- Problem Solving: Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex engineering problems under pressure.
