Responsibilities
- Optimize production workflows through lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies
- Lead cross-functional teams in implementing automation and process improvement projects
- Develop and maintain production documentation, SOPs, and quality control systems
- Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and drive efficiency gains
- Collaborate with R&D to prototype new manufacturing techniques and equipment
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and environmental regulations
- Mentor junior engineers and production staff on technical best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in production engineering within automotive or heavy manufacturing
- Proven expertise in lean manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in ERP/MES systems and data analysis tools
- Certification in Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent quality management systems
- Experience leading automation and robotics integration in industrial settings
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a track record of reducing production costs
