Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement process improvements to enhance production throughput and reduce material waste.
- Monitor real-time production metrics and analyze data to identify bottlenecks, proposing effective corrective actions.
- Ensure full compliance with OSHA safety regulations and internal quality assurance protocols at all times.
- Lead cross-functional teams in root cause analysis and execute continuous improvement projects (Six Sigma/Lean).
- Oversee the maintenance schedule of production machinery to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
- Train and mentor junior engineering staff and production operators on best practices and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent military/technical experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in manufacturing operations, production engineering, or quality assurance.
- Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt certification is a plus).
- Strong proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks/AutoCAD) and data analysis tools (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Excel).
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to work on the production floor as needed.
