Responsibilities
- Product Strategy & Roadmap: Define and maintain the product vision and roadmap for insurance operations platforms, aligning with business goals and market trends.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison between technical teams (engineering, data science), sales, underwriting, and claims departments to ensure alignment on product direction.
- Agile Leadership: Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives, removing blockers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality features.
- Data-Driven Decisions: Analyze user feedback, usage metrics, and business KPIs to prioritize features and drive continuous improvement.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure all product features adhere to state and federal regulations (e.g., NAIC Model Laws, GDPR, CCPA).
- Technical Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and design to define acceptance criteria and deliver user-centric solutions.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience: 5+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years specifically in the insurance, insurtech, or financial services sector.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of SQL and data analytics tools (Tableau, PowerBI). Experience with API integrations (RESTful) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
- Process Knowledge: Deep understanding of the insurance policy lifecycle, underwriting processes, and claims management workflows.
- Methodology: Proven track record of working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable business requirements for non-technical stakeholders.
