Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute comprehensive procurement strategies to meet business objectives, focusing on cost-efficiency and quality assurance.
- Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, conducting regular performance reviews and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Negotiation: Lead high-level contract negotiations to secure favorable terms, pricing, and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and trend analysis to identify new sourcing opportunities and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Cost Reduction: Analyze spending patterns and implement cost-saving initiatives to optimize the procurement budget.
- Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities adhere to internal policies, legal standards, and corporate governance regulations.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior procurement staff and collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, finance, and logistics.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelorβs degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Negotiation: Demonstrated success in contract negotiation and vendor relationship management.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of logistics and international trade regulations (preferably within the APAC region).
- Language: Proficiency in English is mandatory.
