Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute comprehensive sourcing strategies to optimize the supply base and drive cost reduction initiatives.
- Negotiation: Lead high-stakes contract negotiations with key suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and service level agreements.
- Vendor Management: Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of supplier relationships, including onboarding, performance monitoring, and periodic reviews.
- Market Analysis: Conduct deep-dive market research to forecast commodity pricing, identify trends, and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Process Improvement: Streamline procurement workflows and implement best practices to increase efficiency and reduce cycle times.
- Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams (Operations, Finance, Engineering) to align purchasing activities with production schedules and budget requirements.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in procurement, supply chain, or related procurement functions.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics) is required.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret complex data sets and generate actionable insights from market research.
- Negotiation: Demonstrated success in contract negotiation and vendor relationship management.
- Certification: Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) is a strong plus.
