What You'll Do:
As a key member of our procurement team, you will bridge the gap between operational needs and strategic sourcing goals.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute sourcing strategies for raw materials and services to ensure high-quality supply while minimizing costs.
- Vendor Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, conducting regular performance reviews and identifying improvement opportunities.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations with vendors to secure favorable terms, pricing structures, and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Market Analysis: Conduct deep-dive market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends and potential supply risks.
- Cost Optimization: Analyze spend data to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement category management strategies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (Operations, Finance, Engineering) to align procurement activities with business objectives.
- Process Improvement: Streamline procurement workflows and implement best practices to increase efficiency and reduce cycle times.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or purchasing.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics) and data analysis tools (Excel, SQL preferred).
- Negotiation Skills: Proven track record of successful contract negotiation and vendor relationship management.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable business insights.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present to executive stakeholders.
- Certifications: CIPS, CPSM, or similar professional certification is a plus.
