Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute comprehensive sourcing strategies to meet business objectives while minimizing total cost of ownership.
- Vendor Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, conducting regular performance reviews and audits.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead complex contract negotiations to secure favorable terms, pricing, and service level agreements.
- Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends and potential sourcing opportunities.
- Cost Optimization: Analyze spend data and implement cost-saving initiatives to improve margins.
- Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies, legal standards, and ethical guidelines.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior procurement staff and collaborate cross-functionally with operations, finance, and engineering teams.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related role.
- Certifications: Professional certification such as CIPS, CPSM, or CPM is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively at all levels.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and drive strategic decisions.
- Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
