Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute procurement strategies to meet business needs while optimizing costs and mitigating supply chain risks.
- Vendor Management: Establish, monitor, and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, conducting performance evaluations and managing contract renewals.
- Negotiation: Lead complex negotiations with vendors to secure favorable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules.
- Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research and trend analysis to identify emerging opportunities and disruptors in the procurement landscape.
- Inventory Control: Collaborate with operations teams to forecast demand and ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained.
- Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies, legal regulations, and industry standards.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on spending patterns, savings achieved, and procurement KPIs for executive review.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Negotiation: Demonstrated success in high-stakes negotiations and contract management.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Analytical: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and market trends.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with logistics, freight forwarding, or relevant industry regulations is a plus.
