Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute comprehensive procurement strategies aligned with business goals to reduce total cost of ownership.
- Vendor Management: Identify, qualify, and manage a diverse portfolio of suppliers, conducting regular performance reviews and audits.
- Negotiation: Lead high-stakes negotiations with vendors to secure favorable terms, pricing, and service level agreements.
- Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, price fluctuations, and industry shifts to forecast needs and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Process Improvement: Streamline procurement workflows and implement best practices to increase efficiency and compliance.
- Compliance: Ensure all purchasing activities adhere to internal policies, legal regulations, and corporate governance standards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Operations, Finance, and Engineering teams to align purchasing activities with project milestones.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in procurement, supply chain, or materials management within a corporate environment.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Negotiation: Proven track record of successful contract negotiation and vendor relationship management.
- Analytical: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Certifications: CPM (Certified Professional Purchasing Manager) or CIPS certification is highly desirable.
