The Role
As the Senior Procurement Manager, you will own the procurement strategy for key categories. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and innovation while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and quality.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing: Lead end-to-end procurement cycles, from market analysis and supplier identification to negotiation and contract execution.
- Vendor Management: Cultivate and manage long-term relationships with key suppliers, ensuring service excellence and alignment with business goals.
- Cost Optimization: Analyze spend data and market trends to drive cost reduction initiatives and improve total cost of ownership (TCO).
- Contract Negotiation: Draft and negotiate complex contracts, mitigating risk while securing favorable terms for the company.
- Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities adhere to internal policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and develop a team of junior buyers and analysts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably within a fast-paced corporate environment.
- Credentials: CIPS Level 4 or 6 certification (or equivalent) is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in procurement software (e.g., SAP, Coupa, Ariba) and advanced Excel skills.
- Negotiation: Proven track record of successfully negotiating contracts and managing supplier performance.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to C-level executives.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex supply chain challenges.
