Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing: Lead end-to-end procurement cycles, from market analysis and supplier identification to contract negotiation and renewal.
- Vendor Management: Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with key suppliers to ensure service excellence, innovation, and cost efficiency.
- Cost Reduction: Analyze market trends to implement cost-saving initiatives and negotiate favorable terms that directly impact the bottom line.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and develop a high-performing procurement team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Risk Management: Identify supply chain risks and develop contingency plans to ensure business continuity during disruptions.
- Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities adhere to internal policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with operations, finance, and engineering departments to align purchasing strategies with business goals.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; CIPS qualification is highly desirable.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in procurement, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership capacity within the logistics or manufacturing sector.
- Negotiation Skills: Proven track record of successful contract negotiations and cost savings initiatives.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and procurement software.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret complex data and market reports to drive strategic decisions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to stakeholders at all levels.
- Language: Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
