Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for critical categories, aligning with business objectives and market trends.
- Lead complex negotiations with key suppliers to secure optimal terms, pricing, and service levels, fostering long-term, mutually beneficial relationships.
- Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers globally, ensuring adherence to quality, ethical, and sustainability standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes, leveraging technology and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Manage supplier performance through robust KPIs, regular reviews, and issue resolution, ensuring consistent delivery and quality.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, operations, finance, and legal teams to ensure seamless procurement integration and support new product development.
- Analyze market conditions, spend data, and supplier capabilities to identify cost reduction opportunities and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Mentor and develop junior procurement staff, promoting a culture of learning and professional growth within the team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field; MBA or C.P.M. / CPSM certification preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in procurement or strategic sourcing, with at least 3 years in a leadership or senior role.
- Proven expertise in managing complex categories, international sourcing, and multi-million dollar spend.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical capabilities, proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, BI tools), and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic sourcing plans that deliver significant cost savings and value.
- In-depth knowledge of contract law, supplier relationship management best practices, and supply chain risk mitigation strategies.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
