- Conduct advanced process simulations and modeling (e.g., using ASPEN HYSYS, PRO/II, or similar) to optimize plant performance, troubleshoot operational issues, and ensure design integrity.
- Develop and review critical engineering documents such as PFDs (Process Flow Diagrams), P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), equipment specifications, and control philosophies.
- Perform hydraulic calculations, relief system design, and line sizing to ensure safe and efficient fluid transfer and pressure management.
- Participate actively in HAZOP (Hazard and Operability), HAZID (Hazard Identification), SIL (Safety Integrity Level) assessments, and other safety reviews to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with project managers, operations teams, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless project execution and successful commissioning.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and innovative approaches to improve process efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and enhance overall asset reliability.
