Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging policy trends and economic data to inform strategic recommendations
- Lead stakeholder consultations with industry leaders, academia, and public sector partners
- Develop and implement policy frameworks aligned with national innovation priorities
- Prepare high-impact briefings for senior executives and Cabinet committees
- Monitor policy implementation effectiveness through quantitative and qualitative assessments
- Collaborate with legal and finance teams to ensure regulatory compliance
- Represent the department at national and international policy forums
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of progressive policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Expertise in quantitative/qualitative research methodologies and data visualization
- Proven track record of developing actionable policy recommendations
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with complex audiences
- Deep understanding of Canada's innovation ecosystem and economic landscape
- Valid Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain)
