Responsibilities
- Develop and evaluate comprehensive urban policy frameworks using quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Lead cross-functional task forces on housing affordability and sustainable infrastructure projects
- Prepare high-impact policy briefs and legislative recommendations for congressional committees
- Manage $5M+ grant programs ensuring compliance with federal regulations
- Conduct stakeholder engagement with community leaders, industry partners, and advocacy groups
- Monitor emerging urban challenges and recommend evidence-based interventions
- Mentor junior analysts and oversee policy research methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, Economics, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Minimum 5 years experience in federal/local government policy development
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis tools (R, Python, Stata) and GIS mapping
- Demonstrated success in managing complex policy initiatives with measurable outcomes
- Expert knowledge of federal grant management and OMB Circular requirements
- Superior written communication skills with published policy papers
- Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain one
