Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis on complex public policy issues, utilizing quantitative and qualitative methods.
- Develop comprehensive policy briefs, reports, and presentations for diverse audiences, including senior leadership and external stakeholders.
- Formulate evidence-based policy recommendations that align with strategic objectives and national priorities.
- Engage with government agencies, academic institutions, non-profit organizations, and industry experts to gather diverse perspectives and inform policy development.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments, assessing their potential impact and providing timely updates.
- Lead or contribute to interdisciplinary project teams, managing timelines and deliverables effectively.
- Present findings and recommendations confidently to various internal and external groups.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, Law, or a related field (Ph.D. preferred).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in policy analysis, research, or related roles within government, think tanks, academia, or consulting.
- Demonstrated expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies and data analysis tools.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to distill complex information into clear, concise, and persuasive content.
- Strong understanding of the legislative process and government operations.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Proven project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
