Responsibilities
- Analyze complex socioeconomic data and emerging trends to inform policy recommendations
- Develop comprehensive policy frameworks for infrastructure, healthcare, and sustainability initiatives
- Lead stakeholder engagement sessions with community groups and industry partners
- Prepare detailed policy briefings and presentations for City Council and executive leadership
- Monitor implementation outcomes and adjust strategies based on performance metrics
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and municipal regulatory requirements
- Mentor junior analysts and coordinate interdepartmental task forces
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Urban Planning, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Advanced proficiency in quantitative research methods and data visualization tools
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing municipal policies
- Strong understanding of Illinois state regulations and federal grant compliance
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with executive audiences
- Professional certification (e.g., MPA, CPP) preferred
- Valid Illinois driver's license required
