Responsibilities
- Lead design, execution, and optimization of preclinical drug development experiments
- Develop and validate novel biochemical/cellular assays for target identification
- Analyze complex experimental data using statistical methods and bioinformatics tools
- Prepare regulatory documentation (IND/CTA) and ensure compliance with FDA/EMA guidelines
- Mentor junior scientists and present findings at scientific conferences
- Collaborate with CROs for in vivo studies and toxicology assessments
- Identify emerging therapeutic targets and propose innovative research strategies
Qualifications
- PhD in Pharmacology, Biochemistry, or related life science field
- 5+ years of industrial drug discovery experience in biotech/pharma
- Expertise in molecular biology techniques (PCR, CRISPR, cloning)
- Proven track record of advancing compounds through preclinical stages
- Familiarity with GGLP/GLP regulations and quality management systems
- Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals
- Experience with high-throughput screening platforms
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
