Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of advanced reservoir simulation models to predict hydrocarbon recovery and optimize well placement.
- Analyze complex geological and petrophysical data to evaluate reservoir performance and identify opportunities for production enhancement.
- Collaborate with geoscientists, drilling engineers, and production teams to integrate data and execute field development plans.
- Perform uncertainty analysis and risk assessment to ensure project profitability and operational safety.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for executive stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
- Oversee the mentorship and technical guidance of junior engineering staff and interns.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, new software technologies, and regulatory changes to maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in upstream oil & gas operations, specifically in reservoir engineering.
- Extensive expertise in reservoir simulation software (e.g., Eclipse, CMG, Petrel, or tNavigator).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Proven track record of managing multi-million dollar capital projects and delivering results on time.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical data into actionable business insights.
