Responsibilities
- Design and implement complex drilling programs for offshore rigs, ensuring optimal wellbore stability and production efficiency.
- Conduct detailed reservoir analysis and geological modeling to forecast production rates and maximize asset recovery.
- Ensure strict adherence to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) regulations and company safety protocols.
- Lead cross-functional teams, including geologists and drilling contractors, to resolve technical challenges in real-time.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure projects are delivered on time and within financial constraints.
- Prepare technical reports and present findings to senior management and stakeholders.
- Stay abreast of the latest industry trends and technological advancements in drilling technology.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in offshore drilling or upstream oil & gas operations.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is a strong plus.
- Proficiency in drilling simulation software (e.g., Landmark, Roxar) and project management tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with diverse technical teams.
- Willingness to travel to offshore rigs and international project sites as required.
