Responsibilities
- Reservoir Modeling: Lead the design and optimization of reservoir simulation models using industry-leading software (Petrel, Eclipse, or CMG) to forecast production and recovery factors.
- Field Development: Conduct feasibility studies and technical evaluations for new field development plans (FDP) and enhanced oil recovery (EOR) projects.
- Production Optimization: Analyze well performance data to identify opportunities for production enhancement and cost reduction.
- HSE Compliance: Ensure all engineering activities adhere to strict Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations and company standards.
- Drilling Supervision: Oversee drilling operations, providing technical support to drilling crews and ensuring well integrity.
- Stakeholder Communication: Present technical findings and recommendations to senior management, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license required (or eligibility to obtain in Texas).
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in upstream oil and gas operations.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in reservoir simulation software (e.g., Petrel, Eclipse, CMG) and drilling engineering principles.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of reservoir dynamics, geology, and production systems.
