Responsibilities
- Reservoir Modeling: Lead the design and execution of reservoir simulation models to predict production rates and optimize recovery factors.
- Drilling Operations: Oversee drilling programs, ensuring technical integrity, safety compliance, and adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Field Development: Formulate strategic plans for field development, identifying new drilling targets and maximizing asset life.
- HSE Compliance: Enforce strict Health, Safety, and Environmental protocols across all engineering projects and site operations.
- Cost Management: Analyze drilling and completion costs, implementing value engineering solutions to reduce operational expenses.
- Technical Leadership: Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams including geoscientists, geophysicists, and operations staff.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in upstream oil and gas operations, with a focus on reservoir engineering or drilling engineering.
- Licensure: Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is highly desirable.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced working knowledge of engineering software such as Petrel, Eclipse, CMG, or similar reservoir simulators.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting complex technical data to stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with a proven track record of troubleshooting complex field issues.
