Responsibilities
- Design and optimize well completion programs using advanced hydraulic fracturing and horizontal drilling techniques
- Develop reservoir simulation models to forecast production and enhance recovery factors
- Lead field development planning for unconventional assets (shale gas/oil)
- Analyze production data to identify improvement opportunities and cost reduction strategies
- Prepare detailed engineering reports and economic evaluations for investment decisions
- Mentor junior engineers and coordinate cross-functional project teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of upstream oil & gas engineering experience
- Proficiency in reservoir simulation software (Eclipse, Nexus)
- Strong background in well design, production optimization, and decline curve analysis
- Experience with unconventional plays (Barnett, Eagle Ford, Permian)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects in fast-paced environments
