Responsibilities
- Design and optimize well completion strategies for unconventional reservoirs using advanced simulation software
- Analyze production data to enhance hydrocarbon recovery rates and reduce operational costs
- Lead multidisciplinary teams in developing field development plans for major offshore/onshore assets
- Implement AI-driven reservoir monitoring systems to predict performance and mitigate risks
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety protocols (OSHA, API standards)
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical training on emerging extraction technologies
- Prepare detailed engineering reports and economic analyses for executive stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field (MS/PhD preferred)
- Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in upstream operations with major E&P companies
- Proficiency in reservoir simulation tools (e.g., Eclipse, Petrel, Nexus)
- Proven track record in optimizing shale gas/oil projects in Permian or Eagle Ford basins
- Strong understanding of hydraulic fracturing design and completions technologies
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Advanced knowledge of production enhancement techniques and artificial lift systems
- Exceptional problem-solving skills for complex reservoir challenges
