Responsibilities
- Reservoir Modeling & Simulation: Lead the development and maintenance of complex reservoir models using industry-standard software (Petrel, CMG) to forecast production and optimize recovery factors.
- Field Development Planning: Design and evaluate field development plans (FDPs) to maximize economic returns while adhering to safety and environmental regulations.
- Production Optimization: Analyze well performance data to identify opportunities for increased throughput and reduced downtime; implement interventions to enhance recovery.
- HSE Leadership: Ensure all engineering activities comply with strict Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and industry best practices.
- Feasibility Studies: Conduct rigorous economic and technical feasibility studies for exploration and development projects.
- Stakeholder Communication: Present complex technical data and findings to senior management, investors, and cross-functional teams with clarity and precision.
- Team Mentorship: Mentor junior engineers and interns, fostering a culture of technical excellence and safety awareness.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly desirable.
- Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in upstream oil and gas operations, with a focus on reservoir engineering and production optimization.
- Technical Proficiency: Expertise in reservoir simulation software (e.g., Schlumberger Petrel, CMG, Eclipse) and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Python, MATLAB).
- Project Management: Proven track record of managing multi-disciplinary projects from concept to completion.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Adaptability: Ability to work in diverse environments, including field visits and remote locations as required.
