Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced reservoir simulation models for unconventional shale plays
- Lead multidisciplinary teams in optimizing well completion techniques and hydraulic fracturing designs
- Analyze production data to identify enhancement opportunities and recommend strategic adjustments
- Develop economic models to evaluate field development plans and investment opportunities
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (SPE, API) and environmental regulations
- Mentor junior engineers and foster knowledge transfer across technical teams
- Collaborate with geoscientists to integrate subsurface data into engineering workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 8 years of experience in upstream oil & gas operations
- Expertise in reservoir simulation software (Eclipse, CMG, tNavigator)
- Proven track record in unconventional resource development (shale gas/oil)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex production data
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Experience leading field development projects from conception to execution
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present technical concepts to stakeholders
