Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle from conceptualization to prototyping and validation using CAD tools (SolidWorks/CATIA)
  • Develop and execute finite element analysis (FEA) simulations for structural integrity and thermal performance optimization
  • Collaborate with electrical and software teams to integrate mechanical systems with avionics and control systems
  • Design and validate test procedures for mechanical components under extreme environmental conditions
  • Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews to ensure adherence to aerospace standards (AS9100)
  • Research and implement advanced materials and manufacturing techniques (additive manufacturing, composites)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical design for aerospace, automotive, or high-tech industries
  • Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS/Abaqus simulation tools
  • Demonstrated experience with tolerance analysis (GD&T) and DFMEA methodologies
  • Strong understanding of materials science and manufacturing processes (machining, molding, 3D printing)
  • Proven ability to lead complex projects and communicate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license or willingness to obtain
